Product details
At the end of the Discworld lies a continent that can only be described as a botched creation. There are vast amounts of red sand and strong beer. Here, the clumsy wizard Rincewind messes up the space-time continuum, while his colleagues from the university, who were transported there 30,000 years earlier, experience the pitfalls of incognito lady worlds – and the god of evolution.
Somehow, the wizard Rincewind has ended up in Australia. But no! We are on the Discworld, and Rincewind is struggling through the land of IcksIcksIcksIcks, where there seems to be not much more than vast amounts of red sand, vast amounts of strong beer, and vast amounts of dangerous animals. Nevertheless, Rincewind experiences the incredible – with a strange kangaroo, for example, or a horde of odd sheep shearers and peculiar opal miners. It is not long before he is sentenced to death, and his journey into the unknown threatens to escalate – but it takes another turn with the arrival of his well-known colleagues from the Unseen University. Led by Mustrum Ridcully and guided by the scientific advisor Ponder Stibbons, they suddenly appear from another time. The wizards, along with their housekeeper Mrs. Cake, have ended up on an island at the beginning of creation in search of the wizard Rincewind, where they could learn a lot about the tricks and techniques of the creator. However, their mission has a compelling reason: the librarian of the Unseen University has fallen ill. He suffers from a strange form of formlessness. This means he constantly changes – sometimes he is a furry chair, sometimes a furry cushion, sometimes a furry dolphin. To heal him, the wizards must know his true name. But it seems that only Rincewind knows it.
