Night train to Lisbon

Who wouldn't want to live a different life at least once? Raimund Gregorius, an aging Latin teacher at a high school in Bern, attempts to do just that. In the middle of a class, he leaves the lesson and does not return. Something extraordinary happened that morning: on his way to school, he encounters a Portuguese woman who whispers the word "português" to him, writes a phone number on his forehead, and disappears. In the afternoon, he comes across a thirty-year-old Portuguese book by an unknown author named Prado in an antiquarian bookstore. By evening, he is already on the night train to Lisbon, unable to shake off Prado's words. He seeks him out and realizes that he is actually searching for himself.
