Heidi's apprentice and wandering years

Little Heidi is happy with her grandfather in the Alps. During the day, she frolics with her friend, Peter the goat herder, and his goats across the meadows, and in the evening, she climbs into her fragrant hay bed. When Heidi is taken to Frankfurt by her aunt, the carefree days come to an end. As a companion to the sick Clara, Heidi is to be introduced to high society. However, she is plagued by homesickness for the Alps. Hannelore Hoger, who plays the role of Grandma Sesemann in the new film adaptation, reads Heidi's story charmingly and with great heart.

Johanna Spyri, born in 1827, grew up in a large family in the countryside, was a private tutor, and moved to Zurich after her marriage. The Swiss author wrote many stories and novels for children and young adults; her character 'Heidi' became world-famous. The author passed away in 1901.
