Heaven, hell, purgatory

Corona has plunged the world not only into a health crisis. Humanity finds itself in a state of confusion. Fatigue, pessimism, and despair are rampant. Following his pamphlet advocating for fundamental rights, published in spring 2021, the renowned journalist Heribert Prantl calls for a return to the Christian-humanistic core values that must be implemented democratically in his new book. He emphasizes the need to strengthen parliamentarism, which should allow more room for criticism and discussion to enable a functioning social, societal, and political life once again. Prantl reminds us of what liberated civil society and how we can draw hope from it again.
