Giraffenaffen 7 - The Big Birthday Party (Party with Schlager Stars) On June 10, 2022, a new sampler from the Giraffenaffen will finally be released. The seventh edition also marks the 10th anniversary of the series and features 16 songs that will delight both kids and their parents. This time, artists from the intersection of Schlager and Pop will be prominently represented, bringing well-known and beloved children's songs into the present day for Giraffenaffen fans. The effectiveness of this approach is showcased by the new pre-release single from the sampler: The hitmakers Stereoact bring the 'Gorilla with Sunglasses' back to the dance floor. While the original by Volker Rosin was a Mediterranean hip-shaker with a children's choir and mambo vibes, the Stereoact duo has revamped the classic so much that it could easily be played on the kids' stage of an EDM festival, at a Schlager-Pop event, or even in a deep house DJ set. Yet it remains true: 'The gorilla with sunglasses, uhh-la-la / Doesn't need a pill to dance, uhh-la-la / Because if he wants to bring a mambo, uhh-la-la / He lets his legs swing, uhh-la-la.' These lines are sung by the singer Lena Marie Engel, who was also part of Stereoact's 'Hallöchen.' 'Giraffenaffen 7 - The Big Birthday Party (Party with Schlager Stars)' will be released on June 10, 2022, on CD and digitally via streaming and download, and is available for pre-order starting April 29, 2022.
