Eckhart Tolle was born in Germany and spent the first thirteen years of his life there. After completing his studies at the University of London, he worked in research and supervision at Cambridge University. When he was twenty-nine years old, a deep spiritual transformation practically erased his old identity and led to a fundamental change in his life. The next few years he dedicated to understanding, integrating and deepening this transformation, which marked the beginning of an intense journey within. For the past ten years Eckhart has been a consultant and spiritual teacher. Since 1996 Eckhart has lived in Vancouver, Canada.
