Flöckli, the little goat, is raised by Käthi with a bottle and is allowed to stay in the warm room for a while. One day, Käthi takes Flöckli to the village for shopping and ties it to a fence. When Käthi comes out of the store, Flöckli is gone. All the calling and searching is in vain; Flöckli is alone for an entire night.
