The Aviator - Crash in the Wilderness

America, 1928: The reserved mail pilot Edgar is haunted by a previous flight accident that has left him scarred both internally and externally. One day, he must transport the spoiled millionaire's daughter Tillie, with whom he shares a spontaneous and deep mutual dislike. After their plane crashes in the mountains of Idaho, both must realize that they can only survive together: not only are food supplies scarce in this remote wilderness and rescue teams far away, but a pack of hungry wolves is also after them.

This adventure story by Scottish director George Miller compensates for the occasionally predictable plot with impressive landscape shots. Cinematographer David Connell successfully conveys the cold atmosphere of the mountainous terrain. As a pilot marked by his past, Christopher Reeve is light-years away from his glamorous role, while Jack Warden convincingly portrays Reeve's boss.
