Every year again

The audiobook of the same name, Winter, Advent, Christmas Time - a time of harmony, peace, joy, and pancakes. Everyone loves each other, and everyone is relaxed. The landscape is thickly covered in snow for weeks, and frost creates beautiful ice flowers on the windows of the cozy warm rooms, where kind mothers bake bear paws and coconut cookies. Dad trudges through the deep snow in the white forest to fetch a beautiful Christmas tree for his loved ones. The children spend all day outside sledding and only come home happily in the afternoon with rosy cheeks to listen to the stories told by their dear grandmother. In the corner sits grandpa, carving small wooden figures for the nativity scene, and to relax, he smokes a pleasantly scented pipe. Everyone is looking forward to the relatives who will visit at Christmas. "Now he's completely lost it, that Lauerer Toni," you might think, "as if that were reality." I know, I know... But that's exactly why - because the reality is actually different - I tried to shed a humorous light on this reality.
