Product details
Nine-year-old Pünktchen is a spoiled girl from a wealthy family, but she is neglected by her parents. She meets Anton, who is a bit older and lives in poverty with his mother, who takes good care of her son. However, money is tight, and Anton has to contribute to the household. Pünktchen is determined to help her friend. To do this, she disguises herself as a poor girl and goes out at night to sell matches – much to the dismay of her parents, who know nothing about Anton. Pünktchen's parents are also unaware of the burglar who is targeting their housekeeper in order to rob their villa. But after many misunderstandings, complications, and injustices, everything ends well.
