The adventure in the realm of Nedarra begins. Byx is the youngest in the Dalkin pack, and like all Dalkins, she possesses a special gift: she can always distinguish between lie and truth. However, in Nedarra, the Dalkins are hunted. The humans who have risen to power here see the dog-like beings as a thorn in their side. When Byx returns from a foray to her pack one day, the terrible happens: she finds all the Dalkins dead, murdered by the minions of the ruler Murdano. Is she now completely alone, the last of her kind, the Endling? Or are there, as ancient myths predict, other Dalkins high in the north of the land? Byx sets out on a quest. It will be an incomparable journey through a land full of beauty, but also fear, where giant cats, massive water creatures, beetles, gigantic birds, and Wobbyks live. And soon she has companions by her side. Vera Teltz is an actress, voice actress, and an expressive audiobook narrator. She already showcased her talent for grand fantasy material in Tim Burton's film adaptation of "Alice in Wonderland," where she got to shout "Off with their heads!" as the Queen of Hearts.
