Finally, the lean years are over! At least, that's how it seems to Stuttgart private investigator Georg Dengler. For the first time, he has landed a well-paid assignment: the Foreign Office wants him to search for the employee Angela Förster. A mobile phone video suggests that she has been kidnapped. Förster had been seconded as a civil servant to the Troika that dictated the conditions of the Eurogroup to Greece. Dengler begins his investigation and uncovers the biggest secret of the so-called Greek bailout: on which accounts have the many billions of European taxpayers' money ultimately ended up? As Dengler discovers the names of the individuals and institutions that have received these vast sums, he himself becomes a target.
