East of the Mountains - The Last Hunt

A year ago, Ben Givens' wife died of cancer. Now he himself is suffering from cancer and doesn't have much time left. However, he wants to spare himself the suffering and choose to end his life on his own terms. He goes hunting one last time in his old hometown with his dog Rex. But at night, he is attacked by a coyote dog, and when he shoots it, he gets into trouble with its owner, Bill Harden, who takes his rifle away from him. Ben takes the injured Rex to the veterinarian, who ends up caring not only for the dog but also for the old man. However, Ben is determined to get his rifle back, as he still needs it for himself.
