Product details

May 1940: Allied troops are trapped in the northern French town of Dunkirk by the German army. A group of English soldiers is separated from the larger unit and must make their way to safety under the leadership of the inexperienced Corporal "Tubby" Binns (John Mills). Meanwhile, frustrated by the ignorance of British reporting, journalist Charles Foreman (Bernard Lee) sets out to report directly from the front about the massive evacuation mission in Dunkirk. The film tells one of the most significant moments in British warfare from the perspective of a soldier and a journalist, highlighting the immense effort made to rescue the soldiers from a seemingly hopeless situation.
