Product details
May 1940: Allied troops are trapped in the northern French city of Dunkirk by the German army. A group of English soldiers becomes separated from the larger unit and must navigate their way to safety under the leadership of the inexperienced Corporal "Tubby" Binns (John Mills). Meanwhile, frustrated by the ignorance of British reporting, journalist Charles Foreman (Bernard Lee) sets out to cover the massive evacuation mission in Dunkirk directly from the front lines. The film tells one of the most significant moments in British warfare from the perspective of a soldier and a journalist, illustrating the tremendous effort made to rescue the soldiers from a seemingly hopeless situation.
