On her way to the Broadway show "Dirty Dancing," Frances, who was once called "Baby," gets lost in memories of her first love. She was 17, eager to finally join the Peace Corps, and looking forward to nothing less than a predictable vacation with her family at "Kellerman's." But then she meets the underdog Johnny, who makes money as a dance instructor. When his partner Penny is unable to perform, Johnny teaches Baby how to dance so they can perform together. Baby's father disapproves of this relationship, but at the end of the season, Johnny makes it clear: "My Baby belongs to me!".
