Due to the reboot and the loss of their memories, the Digimon have also lost their bond with their partners. While the DigiDestined are slowly able to rebuild their trust with their partners, Biyomon rejects any attempts at closeness from Sora with dismissive behavior. Sora is so frustrated that she isolates herself from the others, and even Tai and Matt are unable to help. Meanwhile, the children encounter Meikuumon, who is the only one to have retained her memories. The DigiDestined decide to reunite her with Meiko. However, a powerful opponent, Machinedramon, appears. In the chaos of battle, the children become separated from one another, and to make matters worse, an old acquaintance reveals himself to be an unpredictable enemy.
