Death and the devil

In Cologne, the most spectacular cathedral of Christianity reaches towards the sky. Its glory and significance grow with each passing day. For adventurers and pilgrims from all over the world, the city becomes a promise – but for Jacop the Fox, a lovable drifter and thief, it turns into a hell. Unwillingly, he witnesses a giant shadow push the master builder of the cathedral into the depths. He is the only one who saw the murder. But the shadow has seen him too. Shortly after, everyone Jacop tells about it ends up dead. Pursued by conspirators and a ghostly murderer, he eventually finds refuge with the drunken cleric Jaspar and his niece Richmodis. They decide to help Jacop – in a battle of David against Goliath! But Richmodis is smart, Jaspar is clever, and the Fox doesn’t carry his nickname for nothing...
