Danger from space

Together with his fiancée Ellen, John Putnam witnesses a meteor strike in the Arizona desert, which upon closer inspection turns out to be a spaceship. Naturally, people are initially reluctant to believe his report, but as more and more individuals go missing and return strangely altered, the local sheriff decides to get to the bottom of the matter, even if it requires force. Now it is up to Putnam to find a peaceful solution, as the aliens only want to repair their spaceship.
