When Maddie receives an offer from her good friend Nina to work for a few weeks on the Adriatic Sea during the summer, she doesn't think twice. She quickly packs her bags and swaps the rainy Birmingham for the summer sun of Croatia. On a small boat, she is supposed to take care of the guests' culinary needs. However, the ship turns out to be a luxury yacht, and the vacationers are rather snobbish. Fortunately, Nina's brother is also on board - but Nick doesn't treat Maddie very politely. He seems to want to keep their connection a secret. It isn't until the two unexpectedly spend time alone in a picturesque bay that Maddie and Nick discover they have more in common than they realized.
