Call me by your name

The precocious 17-year-old Elio Perlman enjoys the northern Italian summer of 1983 at his family's villa, built in the 17th century. The Italian-American boy spends his time playing and transcribing classical music, reading, and flirting with his girlfriend Marzia. Elio is closely connected to his parents. His father, a respected professor, specializes in Greco-Roman culture. Elio's mother works as a translator. Together, they introduce their son to the achievements of high culture and provide him with a carefree life filled with advantages. Thanks to his worldly wisdom and intellectual talents, the boy outwardly appears to be an adult, yet contrary to appearances, Elio is still quite inexperienced in many ways.
