Albuquerque, New Mexico: In the West Mesa desert, the skeletons of eleven female bodies are discovered. A comprehensive investigation begins, and Police Chief Carter assigns Detectives Ortega and Young to the case. They are joined by FBI Agent Petrovick, who will help narrow down the list of suspects as a profiler. However, Detective Ortega has a personal interest in the case and follows a lead on her own that takes her into the ranks of her own department.
