Blind Investigations - Death in the Vineyard (Episode 8)

The kidnapping of a young man leads Alex and Niko to a long-established wine tavern run by the kidnapped man's mother, Sonja Rauch. To get Paul back, two million euros are demanded in two days. Sonja and her brother-in-law Heinrich are desperate and extremely worried because Paul suffers from asthma. Together with Niko, Alex tries to reconstruct the last hours before Paul's disappearance and to find out more about possible beneficiaries of a kidnapping. With the help of inspector Laura Janda and her team, they analyse Paul's surroundings and come into contact with a motorbike gang. The wine grower at the Tomasek wine tavern also seems suspicious. Paul's uncle Heinrich runs a luxury restaurant in Vienna with his partner Konstantin and tries to find the money as quickly as possible to free Paul. Sonja decides to hand over the ransom money she received from Heinrich to the kidnappers without informing the police. She is too afraid of the kidnappers' threats. During the handover, however, Sonja also disappears. Heinrich desperately calls Alex for help. Alex and Niko finally find Paul and Sonja in an empty hunting lodge. There is no trace of the kidnappers, but there is a connection between the cabin and the motorbike gang Paul used to be involved with... Alex's sixth sense leads him to an unusual solution to the case...
