Product details
Bigjigs Flying Scotsman
One of the most famous locomotives in the world, the Flying Scotsman, was built in 1923 for £7,944 (over £491,000 in today's money). It was the first locomotive to reach a speed of 100 miles per hour and to circle the globe.
Our delightful Flying Scotsman locomotive is licensed by the National Railway Museum and zooms along a wooden track, either as a standalone engine or with carriages attached via its magnetic coupling.
It even features the iconic apple green color. Did you know that it was painted war black during World War II before being repainted green? The Flying Scotsman is a wonderful realistic addition to any wooden train set.
