Barbapapa Classics

When French architecture student Annette Tison and American biology teacher Talus Taylor created the family in the late seventies, they envisioned a social ideal state. It was meant to be peaceful, green, healthy, and harmonious. Thus, the somewhat soft Barbapapa (pink) and Barbamama (black) were born. And their children: the beautiful and makeup-obsessed Barbabella (purple), the clever Barbaletta (orange), the musical Barbalala (green), the scientifically talented Barbarix (blue), the athletic Barbawum (red), the artist Barbabo (black), and our already mentioned Barbakus (yellow), friend of animals. They live in a villa that looks as if the architect turned a bunch of soap bubbles into stone. And they all "can change as they wish," as the opening theme song tells us. No one masters role-playing and disguises as well as these pear-shaped characters.
