Product details
Years ago, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) was severely injured and has been paralyzed from the waist down ever since. When he is offered the chance to travel to the distant planet of Pandora for a project, he quickly agrees to escape his life, which has become meaningless to him. There, he will encounter unimaginably beautiful and colorful landscapes filled with lush rainforests, fantastic plants, and animals—some breathtakingly beautiful, others terrifying. However, Pandora is not uninhabited: the Na'vi are the indigenous people of the planet and live in harmony with the nature that surrounds them. Pandora is rich in the highly valuable resource for humans known as Unobtainium. Since humans cannot survive in Pandora's atmosphere, a scientific project was initiated to create genetically engineered hybrids of human and Na'vi DNA: the so-called Avatars. An Avatar is mentally controlled by a human, with the human brain and emotional receptors connected to the Avatar body through special technology. The project is led by scientist Dr. Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver), who initially approaches Jake with skepticism. During Jake's explorations on Pandora, he meets the young and beautiful Na'vi woman Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), who captivates him immediately. Through her, he gradually learns about the life and culture of the Na'vi. However, the more time Jake spends with the Na'vi, the more he finds himself in conflict with both himself and the outside world. He must decide whose side he is on—in a battle that will determine the fate of an entire world...
