A treasure that never gets lost: our inner child

"It is never too late for a happy childhood." This famous quote applies to everyone guided by Thich Nhat Hanh. The effects of emotional wounds from childhood, such as fear, feelings of abandonment, anger, and sadness, are effective down to the cellular level and block our inner growth. Thich Nhat Hanh shows that often our parents or even earlier generations carried and passed on the same burdensome emotional patterns. Therefore, it is important for adults to connect with their wounded inner child.
