Warm-hearted and calming - an audiobook that simply feels good. In Redu, a small book village in the midst of the Belgian Ardennes, time is felt as a friend rather than an enemy: Surrounded by vast forests, rushing rivers, and steep hills, there is only one television, while the internet is available only between 7 and 8 PM. The fact that the church tower leans crookedly towards the sky and one must fear its imminent collapse does not bother the 390 inhabitants, just as little as the clock tower that has gone completely out of sync. However, when the young Frenchwoman Marie arrives in the village and spring sets in, not only is nature brought back to life. Even the grumpy Mathilde cannot escape this development.
