Anastasia, the protagonist of the 10-volume book series, is the ambassador of an ancient people whose descendants still live in the Taiga today, untouched by civilization and still possessing paranormal abilities such as telepathy, precognition, teleportation, invulnerability (cold resistance), and connection with higher worlds.
