An approach

Paul Celan is one of the most important voices in European poetry. The actor Jens Harzer, together with the Celan editor Barbara Wiedemann, has compiled a selection of poems that illustrate various aspects of Celan's poetry under seven thematic focal points: Home, Love, Madness, Pain, Being Jewish, Writing and Topicality. This audio book not only provides a coherent interpretation of the individual poems, but also depicts the actor's process of penetrating and appropriating the text. As Jens Harzer searches and gropes his way through Celan's world of thought, it opens up to the listener in a unique new way.
