This CD is specifically designed for learning and practicing the mantras for the most well-known fire techniques (Yagnas, or Yajnyas in English). Horst Heigl sings them as Shri Vasant Paranjpe originally taught them in Bombay (now Mumbai) with many Agnihotris from the West. The mantras are sung slowly and clearly nine times in succession. The texts for reading along are located on the inner sides of the cardboard sleeve. The CD was created in connection with the book 'Agnihotra' by Horst and Birgitt Heigl, where the corresponding musical notes are printed and the meanings of the mantras are explained. The mantras included are: Agnihotra mantra for sunrise, Agnihotra mantra for sunset, Vyahruti mantra, OM-Tryambakam mantra. We recommend the 'Agnihotra' book to accompany this audio CD, which explains the origin, execution, practice, effects, and much more.
