Product details
For nearly three decades, they have been the prototype of the no-frills rock 'n' roll band: AC/DC. Founded in the early 1970s by rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young along with his underage brother Angus in Sydney, Australia, they experienced a meteoric rise in Europe in the mid-1970s, followed by success in the USA and the Far East a few years later. The quintet weathered several lineup changes unscathed; even the tragic death of legendary singer Bon Scott, who was replaced by former Geordie member Brian Johnson, could not diminish their reputation. The DVD, "Live At Donington," optimized in 5.1 surround sound and presented in a digipack, showcases the still immensely popular Australians in their favorite activity before an absolutely enthusiastic audience. This impressive concert recording took place in front of over 100,000 spectators on August 17, 1991, at the Mecca of hard and heavy rock, Castle Donington Park in the UK. The performance is considered a classic among AC/DC fans. Filmed with 26 cameras and a helicopter, "Live At Donington" is one of the most elaborate concert recordings of all time. Two hours of pure rock 'n' roll at its best!
