A simple intervention

Meret is a nurse. The clinic is her home, and she wears her uniform with pride, as no one understands the suffering of the patients as well as she does. Until one day, a new procedure is developed that aims to free women from psychological distress. The aftereffects of the procedure can be painful, but healing begins afterward. Meret clings to this belief, even as she slowly starts to have doubts. "A Simple Procedure" is not only the story of a young woman who loses her faith in the power of medicine in a world of rigid hierarchies and dehumanized patients.
