Is this oil suitable to treat cutting boards and wooden countertops/kitchen tables? Anything that is in touch with food?

Negative. It would need to be labelled as food-safe. This oil is intended for hard-wearing surfaces.

I can't answer that. I have oiled our parquet floor with it. I think wood-dynamix is right....
