Question about Ballistol Universal oil
I would like to request a definitive statement on how this thing smells. (I have bought other "universal oils" in the past—Motorex, Komet—and I was glad that they were odourless.)

It is definitely not odourless.
I perceive the odour as a combination of tar and menthol. It evaporates quickly when applied drop by drop to tools, but it smells strong when you bathe or pour it over things.

It stinks. It's difficult to say what. If you have problems with intense fragrances, it's not for you.
You can't shower without getting wet ;-) Ballistol smells especially when applied to large areas (wood or leather). But the odour is gone after drying. It is the best multi-purpose oil there is!
