I have a question about the Knipex wire stripper 12 62 180 SB: I am looking for a suitable wire stripper (I have no idea about wire strippers ^^) for the following guitar cable:
(Mogami W2314 miniature instrument cable - conductor details 30 / 0,8 OFC size (mm²) 0,51mm² insulation Ov. (Mm) 1.5Ø Material XLPE Colour Clear Shielding Type Operated Shielding Details Approx. 37 / 0.12 OFC Jacket Ov. Diameter (Mm) )

Will these pliers work for the sheath and likewise for stripping the conductor? If not, what else would you guys recommend? (and no, I don't want to do this with a box cutter or bag knife, as I will be doing quite a lot of cables -- pedalboard with switcher).

Answer

Outer sheath/sheath definitely - no. 
Stripping of the conductor - yes.
The pliers only work cleanly on single conductors.
