Are upsetting nails from other suppliers, e.g. Einhell, also compatible or do they have to be Makita pins?

I bought a large quantity of upsetting nails a few years ago. At that time I had a Bostich. I don't remember the manufacturer of the pins. The Makita countersunk all the pins to my satisfaction. So no problems. I especially appreciate the belt holder and the integrated air gun just cool.
