2. Hammerite Metal protective lacquer hammer blow

Rust protection coating for all uncoated, rusted, or previously coated ferrous and non-ferrous metals after appropriate pre-treatment. Suitable for items such as garden fences, garden furniture, stair and balcony railings, window grills, lamps, bicycles, trellises, and more.

Hammerite paints are generally not suitable for painting vehicles, heated surfaces (such as grill pipes, oven pipes, brake calipers, engines, exhaust systems), surfaces that are subject to heavy mechanical stress (such as floors, lift platforms, undersides of cars), powder-coated objects, or components with permanent underwater contact (including pool ladders, boat installations, dishwasher baskets, aquariums).

Preparation:
Untreated ferrous metals: Sand very smooth surfaces, remove sanding dust, and carefully clean the surface with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

Rusty ferrous metals: Remove loose particles with a wire brush and clean the surface with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

Cast iron: Remove loose particles, sand, and clean with Hammerite Metal Cleaner. Apply a layer of Hammerite Rust Blocker as a bonding agent.

Tip: The hammer effect develops best when the paint is applied quickly and not too thinly, allowing time for the effect to develop. Repeated touch-ups or spreading of the paint may lead to a reduced hammer effect. Hammered paints can only be overcoated with hammered paints; using other systems may result in adhesion or surface defects.

7. Hammerite Radiator paint

For quick painting of your radiators.

Coverage: 400 ml is sufficient for approximately 0.5 m² with 2 to 3 spray applications.

Drying time: After about 30 minutes,
it is dust dry and can be oversprayed (depending on temperature).

Product advantages and features: Heat resistant, yellowing stable.

Application area: Final coating for metal surfaces that heat up, such as radiators and water pipes. Not suitable for objects that become extremely hot, such as oven doors and grills.

Preparation: Minimize the temperature of the object to be painted - turn off the radiator.

Bare iron metals: Sand very smooth surfaces and remove sanding dust. Clean the surface carefully with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

Rusty iron metals: Remove loose particles with a wire brush and clean the surface with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

Old coatings: Remove loose paint and possibly rust particles with a wire brush and sand the surface. Remove sanding dust and clean the surface thoroughly with a degreaser and cleaner.

Galvanized iron: Clean the surface with an ammoniacal detergent wash. Then prime with Hammerite Special Primer.

Application: Store the spray can at room temperature for at least 2 hours before use. Shake the spray can vigorously for 3 minutes just before use. Spray 2 to 3 even layers from a distance of about 15 to 20 cm. Allow each layer to dry for 30 minutes (depending on temperature). Only heat the radiator again after the paint has fully dried (approximately 12 hours).

Caution: For old coatings, perform a test application. If a reaction (wrinkling) occurs after 15 minutes, remove the old coating.

Tip: After each spray application, turn the can upside down and briefly press the spray head to avoid clogging.

Directly on rust, heat resistant, good scratch resistance, color and gloss stable, long-term rust protection.

9. Hammerite Metal protective lacquer HG white

High-gloss spray can of 400 ml

Direct-to-rust metal protective paint. Hammerite Direct-to-Rust Metal Protective Paint serves as a primer, undercoat, and topcoat
all in one. DUALTECH provides double protection: water beads off and rust is stopped - the metal remains resilient for longer.

Pre-treatment: Sand smooth surfaces, remove loose rust and peeling old paint with a wire brush. Clean dirt, dust, and grease residues with diluted cleaning agent. Rinse with clear water and allow to dry thoroughly. Apply Hammerite Direct-to-Rust Metal Protective Paint to a small, already painted area and let it dry for 1 hour. If there is no reaction, apply Hammerite Direct-to-Rust Metal Protective Paint to the entire surface. If a reaction occurs, remove all old paint before applying Hammerite Direct-to-Rust Metal Protective Paint. For bare zinc, aluminum, and galvanized surfaces, treat the respective surfaces with Hammerite Special Adhesion Primer before applying Hammerite Direct-to-Rust Metal Protective Paint.

Application: Brush application method. Ideal processing temperature is between 11°C and 25°C. Stir lightly before use. Apply undiluted. On pre-painted metal surfaces in good condition, one coat is sufficient. On bare, rusty metal, two coats are required. Ensure that all corners and edges are well covered. Do not apply too thickly to avoid runs.

Contains: Alkyd resin, solvents, fillers, pigments, additives. Dust dry after approximately 1 to 2 hours. Repaintable after 4 hours. Coverage: 1 liter is sufficient for approximately.
