Pesticide

Pesticide is a term adopted from English usage for chemical substances that can be used to remove, drive away or inhibit the germination, growth or reproduction of living organisms that are considered a nuisance or harmful. Pesticides can be divided into the pesticides, which are applied to protect plants, and the biocides, which are applied to protect the health or products of humans from organic material (excluding plant food and feed), e.g., fabric, leather, wood, petroleum products.
