A cable tie is a universally applicable, quick to use and inexpensive connecting element. Originally developed to fix various cables and entire cable harnesses to each other or to other objects, cable ties are now used in many other areas of application, in the construction industry for temporary assembly, as a packaging aid or in police practice to tie people up.
