The columnar cephalopod, botanically known as Cephalotaxus harringtonii 'Fastigiata', is an easy-care, evergreen plant that grows to a height of around 3 metres. It prefers a semi-shady to sunny location.

The green needles of the columnar head plant give it a dense, elegant appearance. This variety has a columnar habit, which makes it an excellent choice for formal garden designs, hedges or as a specimen plant. It grows less broadly than other yew varieties.

Container plants
