Zulauf Ovalblättriger Liguster / Ligustrum ovalifolium
80 cmProduct details
The oval-leaved privet, botanically known as Ligustrum ovalifolium, is a winter-green plant that can reach a height of up to 3 metres. This pruning-tolerant plant is particularly suitable for hedges or as a structural plant in the garden. The oval-leaved privet is hardy, so it can withstand colder temperatures without any problems.
It flowers in June, during which time the creamy white flowers appear, which are not only decorative but also have a pleasant fragrance. It needs a sunny position and is versatile, both as a solitary plant and in groups or hedges.
Caution: The leaves, bark and especially the berries of the oval-leaved privet contain saponins, which can be toxic if ingested. The consequences are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal pain.
Note: Please note that the plant may look different from the pictures depending on the vegetation cycle.
Container plants
Our container plants grow in plastic pots and - apart from frost-related restrictions - can be planted all year round. Unlike balled plants, they do not experience transplant shock and continue to grow without interruption if planted correctly.Natural deviations possible
