Zulauf Perückenstrauch / Cotinus cog. 'Royal Purple'

The wig shrub, botanically known as Cotinus coggygria 'Royal Purple', is a striking garden plant that stands out with its red foliage.

Growing to a height of up to 2.5 metres, this plant is ideal for sunny locations, where it provides a vibrant, colourful presence as an ornamental shrub or in borders.

The yellowish flowers appear in summer and develop in a finely structured, wig-like inflorescence, giving the shrub its name. The red foliage is particularly striking, making the wig shrub an impressive eye-catcher in the garden all year round. The bright red colour of the foliage becomes even more intense in autumn and provides beautiful autumn colouring.
