Product details
This plant has been awarded the Suisse Garantie label.
The buckthorn, botanically known as Frangula alnus, is a versatile garden plant that thrives in both sunny and shady areas. Growing to a height of around 3 metres, this native shrub is ideal for wild hedges and natural garden landscapes. It is hardy, which means that it can easily survive colder temperatures.
The buckthorn is characterised by its green and white flowers, which appear from May to June and are a beautiful sight. The plant is also a bird feeder.
Caution: The bark, leaves and fruit of the buckthorn contain anthraquinones, which can be toxic. The consequences are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
Note: Please note that the plant may look different from the pictures depending on the vegetation cycle.
Container plants
Our container plants grow in plastic pots and - apart from frost-related restrictions - can be planted all year round. Unlike balled plants, they do not experience transplant shock and continue to grow without interruption if planted correctly.Natural deviations possible

The characteristics stated in the product descriptions are for guidance only and do not constitute binding assurances.
