The dwarf snakeskin pine, botanically known as Pinus heldreichii 'Compact Gem', is a compact, evergreen dwarf form of the snakeskin pine. It reaches a height of approx. 1.2 metres and grows slowly and densely branched, developing an attractive, spherical to cushion-shaped growth habit.

Its dark green, shiny needles, which grow in dense clusters, are particularly striking. This variety is very robust, hardy and easy to care for, ideal for rock gardens, heather gardens or as a container plant. It prefers sunny locations and copes well with dry and nutrient-poor soils.
