This black soybean is considered the best in Japan. Highly recommended for edamame. The young pods are continuously harvested (the seeds must still be soft) and blanched whole in salted water. Drain and serve. The pods are opened with a gentle finger press, and the seeds are eaten. The mature seeds can also be prepared like other dried beans.
