Xantrex Max Flex Panels with Mesh Technology
The Xantrex Solar Max Flex Panels feature cells with a mesh grid technology that provides outstanding durability and performance.
With approximately 2000 contact points per cell, this cell interconnection technology allows the module to bend up to 180 degrees without compromising power output. The Max Panel has undergone extreme environmental and accelerated lifecycle testing that exceeds regulatory standards. The panels proved to be 50 times more durable than a standard flexible panel.
The highly protective ETFE (Ethylene-Tetra-Fluoro-Ethylene) top layer allows for better light transmission, corrosion resistance, stain resistance, weather resistance, and overall improved durability across a wide temperature range compared to non-ETFE-coated semi-flexible panels.
Additionally, the Max Panel can capture up to 20% more energy in low light or shaded conditions during the day compared to a standard solar panel.
Load and Shading Test
In a shading test where 1-4 cells in a series were shaded, the Xantrex Mesh Panel still delivered between 77 and 72% of its performance, while the comparison panel only achieved a performance of 56 to 6%.
A load test further demonstrates how the mesh technology minimizes performance losses in damaged cells. Even when the cells were severely damaged, the performance loss was only around 24%.
