To ventilate a housing, various cost- and time-intensive countermeasures have previously been necessary, such as interior heating, drilling, or external ventilation elements. As a result, the high protection level of IP 68 could often no longer be guaranteed.

With VentGLAND, these methods are no longer needed. The cable gland features a microporous, liquid-tight membrane that allows the housing to "breathe," equalizing the different pressures inside and outside the housing. This significantly reduces the formation of condensate, while the high-tech membrane of VentGLAND seals the housing effectively, preventing dirt and water from entering the interior. VentGLAND meets the highest requirements according to IP protection class 69K.
