Processing garden and kitchen waste in a modern and environmentally friendly way? With this drum composter, it's a breeze! Food scraps or biodegradable waste from the garden, such as branches and leaves, can be transformed into natural fertilizer, saving on waste disposal fees and expenses for synthetic fertilizers. This rotating composter consists of a large, round, closed container made from recycled plastic. The individual black plastic panels are assembled according to the included assembly instructions. The panels provide good insulation, achieve an optimal composting temperature, and support a fast and intensive decomposition process. The plastic container has a capacity of 160 liters and is supported by a black-coated tubular frame. This allows the compost drum to be suspended freely and rotated effortlessly. The rotation regularly mixes the compost and provides it with sufficient oxygen. Regular rotation shortens the decomposition time; it's best to turn the drum 5–10 times after each filling or 2–3 times daily. The 2-chamber system is particularly advantageous: once Chamber 1 is full, you let the contents rest and continue collecting in Chamber 2. The chambers are closed with a sliding door, allowing for batch removal. The closed drum is inaccessible to rodents and pests, preventing any unpleasant odors. The dimensions of the device are 72.5 cm x 66 cm x 93.5 cm. The optimal working height is user-friendly and gentle on the back! Tip: For good, nutrient-rich compost, it’s best to "feed" the composter with a balanced mixture of moist green (2 parts) and dry brown (1 part). This means kitchen waste or grass clippings and leaves or straw in a 2:1 ratio. Additionally, the garden composter should be placed in a sunny location to promote an intense decomposition process.
