Product details
Without bees, a third of our food disappears, as most plants only thrive when their flowers are pollinated. Our native wild or wall bees are unbeatable pollination professionals who are completely harmless because they don't bite and are not interested in sweets or food. A single female pollinates about 40,000 flowers, up to 300 times more efficiently than a honeybee. Wild bees are therefore ideally suited to make an important contribution to improving the precarious pollination situation in agriculture.
With a BeeHome, you can actively contribute to the propagation of native wild bees at home, while also observing the hardworking animals at close range and allowing a sea of colors to bloom in your garden. As a wild bee goddess or wild bee god, a starting population with 25 masonry bee cocoons will be sent to the BeeHome hive in spring. The BeeHome can be hung without hesitation on the city balcony, in a single-family house quarter, or in the allotment garden.
Every spring, wild bees hatch, pollinate the plants in the surrounding area, and multiply. They build their nests in the BeeHome and collect pollen and nectar for their offspring. When the nests are finished, the bees glue them with clay. In autumn, the bees begin their hibernation and can be transported without any problems. This allows you to send the inner box with the cocoons back to Wildbiene+ Partner. These are cared for, expertly wintered, and will be used by farmers next spring for the pollination of fruit and berries. Wild bee returns the renovated inner box, and in spring, you will receive a new starting population.
